How To Measure Your Cushions

If you have the cushion which needs to be replaced, first take measurement of the old cushion. Take a tape measure and measure the width and depth of the seat cushion. Note down the measurements. If the cushion is rectangular or square shape, then the back width of the cushion is the same as the front width. Please make sure that these two measurements are set to the same number. Some cushions have a taper shape, then you would need to also measure the back width of the cushion. Measure both sides and middle part of the cushion for its depth. Do the same for the cushion for the backrest. Note down all the measurements including thickness of the cushions. Also take note of any irregular shape for the cushion, such as a round shape for the top of the back cushion.

If there are no cushions for the furniture, then you may measure the furniture to get the measurements for the cushions. First measure the seat of the furniture, taking notes of the front and back widths, side and center depths. Also take note if there are any cut-in/cut-out corners or shape (for the legs or armrests). Do the same for the backrest. The height of the back rest will be affected by the thickness of the seat cushion. The thicker the seat cushion is, the shorter in height for the back cushion. So take note of this when you make your measurements.

If you want to have cushion for furniture that has an irregular shape (such as crescent shape), please use a large sheet of paper and trace the shape of the seat (or backrest if cushion is also required for the back) of the furniture and mail the entire shape or pattern to us together with a picture of the furniture. We will be able to produce cushions based on the drawings or patterns and measurement information from you.
